4.      Using though at the end of a sentence instead of but in the middle of a sentence.
“I like chips but I don’t like gravy.”
“I like chips. I don’t like gravy though.”

Connectives



TIME CONNECTIVES:
Shows the order of your points.
first, then, after, later, secondly, thirdly, finally

ADDING CONNECTIVE:
Adds a further point.
also, similarly, in addition, furthermore, moreover

OPPOSING CONNECTIVES:
Introduces an opposite argument.
however, although, in contrast, alternatively, whereas

RESULT CONNECTIVES:
Introduces a result or solution.
therefore, consequently, as a result

How to write a persuasive essay

Intro      

Refer to the question and explain your opinion clearly
Use a list of three and rhetorical question

Main body 
Think of 3 different arguments (3 different paragraphs) 
to persuade the reader to agree with your point of vie
Use connectives to link your ideas and paragraphs

Conclusion
Summarise your ideas and opinion
